Given that I somehow missed taking photos of BOTH Jowey Nicky and Jowey Linda, two of my most similar and easily-confused dahlias, describing one in terms of the other is going to be less than helpful. Sorry guys; not my finest record-keeping moment!
Both Nicky and Linda are wonderful, productive orange balls. Linda is slightly taller than Nicky at 5′, and her blooms are a bit larger (5-6″ in diameter). Additionally, the tips of Linda’s petals have a distinctive pointed shape, and a two-toned effect with pumpkin orange faces and darker reddish orange reverses.
A google image search should provide further clarity. 😉
