An anemone dahlia with soft peachy outer petals and a mesmerizing, sculptural center that looks pale orange from a distance. Up close it’s a masterpiece of feathery/spiky tubes and filaments, bright gold blending into deep rose. I … might have gotten a little obsessed with taking glamor shots of this one! Sandia Brocade is covered in flowers all season long, the 3-4″ blooms displayed on nice wiry stems above the 3.5′ plants. An excellent cut flower (harvest before the center puff is fully convex for best vase life) and top of its show class by a long shot. Great tuber producer, too.
